Tips on using pallet wrap when moving

Moving soon and self packing. Much is going into boxes but I'm going to need to 'protect' my furniture with pallet wrap as I'm stressing about it being touched by movers and being in a dirty lorry.

I'm not usually so stressy about dirt/germs etc but with this I am so have decided to wrap sofa, wardrobe etc in pallet wrap. I know it's terrible for the environment but I'm going to need to do this.

The point of my thread is to ask for your experiences of purchasing and using pallet wrap. Is it just like a big roll of cling film? Is one type better than another? Is Amazon the place to purchase? Any guidance apprecited.

Not much advice but I'm currently doing this before boxes go in my garage. We started because a delivery driver had left a part role with a delivery. It's the same width as a larger roll of clingfilm and wrapping boxes has been easy but I've no idea how I'd do furniture if that were needed. We've seen some on Amazon that looks reasonably priced so we'll probably get more from there, that and some bubble wrap.

If you want some boxes for books Ikea has some nice small archive boxes that are well priced.

Used it for small set of drawers or tote boxes, just to wrap so they don’t open & the contents spill out, I’ve never used to wrap actual furniture. Removers tent to cover large stuff with movers blankets.
The pallet wrap is all much of muchness tbh.

I’m packed up ready to move tomorrow. I bought a large roll of pallet wrap from Big Yellow Self Store. The good thing about it is that the cardboard tube is wider than the roll so you hold each end of the tube as you unroll it. You have to pull it tight so that it sticks to the item and then to itself. We used it to wrap drawers and small boxes so that items don’t spill out.
