Can I use bathroom wall tiles 6.5mm thick with tiles 6mm thick?

We're doing up a small bathroom and will be having mostly white gloss wall tiles. But we want a strip of coloured tiles. We can get cheap white tiles at 6mm thickness but the more expensive coloured ones (different make of tile) are 6.5 mm thick. Will 0.5 mm difference be a problem? The other dimensions are the same.
TIA

They will stick out, gather dirt and potentially look a bit odd. It's best to find tiles odd the same dimensions.

They will stick out and look awful. It is amazing that so small a difference in size can make such a large difference in appearance.

Either get 6mm coloured tiles or do without is my advice.

If the thicknesses were the other way round it could work, but not where the bulk of the tiles are thinner. If they're just plain white ones, can you not find thicker ones?

You will regret it.

Thanks everyone.
I will not risk it and do more searching.
I'm glad I asked!

I mean you say small bathroom, so it depends on how much work is involved, but you could just put more grout/adhesive behind the thinner ones. I recently tiled a really uneven wall and you wouldn't know, my tiles are completely flush.

But I guess it depends on whether you'll have to do a lot of the thinner ones before you can get to the thicker ones, as you'd have to guess how much extra adhesive to use to some extent, or whether you could do them altogether.
