Gutters

I posted a letter to the house next door a couple of months ago for the attention of the landlord/letting agent about getting their gutters cleaned this summer.

I got my gutters cleaned last year and it's not fair that any debris that is collecting in their gutters because they haven't been cleaned for a while, is being washed down into my gutters and down my drainpipe and into my drain as they don't have a drainpipe.

I've had no reply, and summer is not yet out, but no sign of the gutters having been cleaned.

I'm therefore considering putting in something between where my gutter meets their gutter, such as a gutter guard or something. The guy who cleaned my gutters last year said he could put an end cap in.

Anyone got an ideas about this? Thanks!

is there anything on the deeds about shared guttering/downpipe or anything?

"...as they don't have a drainpipe."

So, their gutters are connected to the shared downpipe or the downpipe that is entirely on your property?

As the pp said, check the title register in case it says anything about this. But, also, if the properties are at least 20 years old then your neighbour will likely have gained to right to discharge water onto your property anyway.
