We're looking at houses at the moment and I've realised I'd turn down a house with a conservatory over one without all things being equal. I just don't like them, and I'd rather have the extra outside space. If I had one I think all I'd really use it for is a fancy greenhouse.
Wondering on others views. Am I in the minority, or is this fairly common?

We have one and we love it. North west facing so never too hot in the summer and heats quickly with an oil filled radiator in the winter. We use it everyday. Love sitting there feeling like I'm in the garden but not actually out there. We're currently moving and one of our non negotiables for the new house is it must have a conservatory!

I adore my conservatory. When I was in hospital for two weeks all I wanted was to lie on the sofa in the conservatory.

When it’s boiling outside yes it’s too hot, but that’s when I sit outside. Sunny days in Spring and Autumn it’s fabulous. This time of the evening after a sunny day the temperature is perfect.

And I love sitting in there during a storm.
