How can I get this sink replaced? (Pic attached)

Hi all

I’ve just moved into a new property and want to change the sink. I’m ok with keeping the original “hole” to keep the same length but want a deeper sink.

Is anyone able to look at the picture and see if this is feasible? I presume the plumbing needs to be changed? Is that right? Which could also be costly.

If anyone could give me advice or costs involved I would greatly appreciate it.
Also are there any well known retailers that may be able to install this?

TIA!

You’re better off looking for a jobbing plumber through your neighbourhood Facebook group or Nextdoor, etc.

I agree that you need to ask your neighbours and local friends to recommend a local plumber. Yes, the pipe work will need to be replaced, but it isn't a difficult job.
Beware of local online groups. There have been a lot of conmen recommended on our local groups and it has become a source of a lot of scamming.

If it's been installed properly, once the plumbing and the fixing clamps have been disconnected, the original sink should just lift out, ready for the new one to be fitted in the existing hole. But ours didn't.....it was superglued to the worktop. So we ended up with a new worktop too. So be prepared for that.

What’s a typical hourly rate for a self employed plumber who doesn’t charge VAT these days - I’d guess £60 ph?
