Pantry Unit / Cooks Larder using IKEA units

I’d love to get a standalone double larder / pantry (the type you can get a coffee machine, toaster on a shelf as wall as some deep drawers and spice racks). I’ve seen one that the Cotswold Company, but didn’t love the quality. Has anyone made one using IKEA units? Or any other ideas that don’t involve spending too much? Thank you!!

Great idea. I wonder why they don’t show one?

Hace you looked on- or asked on- the Facebook Ikea Hacks groups?

You could probably do it!

Have you looked online for a second hand one?

I have a second hand Welsh Dresser. Does exactly what you want. I bought it on eBay many years ago for about 50 quid and it is our hot drink station, and stores about a gazillion drinks and all our cups and paraphernalia. It was built in the 1930s.

Thanks for the tips - will look into all those!

I made a bespoke tall cupboard to house washing machine and fit round a boiler using Ikea units.
just think of them as Lego blocks really to fit together to suit.

i used a 60 cm wide cupboard as the frame, but then used 80cm wide shelves to give the actual width I wanted.

for a larder type unit you could have a deeper bottom cupboard with wall units directly on top if you want that set back look?

i also think you can totally customise the interior using internal drawers and shelves to suit.
this guide is useful for seeing every available option of cupboard to buy, you can get a printed one instore.

Lots of people have done it using DIY Kitchens - they have a Facebook group, which is very helpful. Quality of the units are excellent. We ended up getting ours made bespoke by a furniture company as we had something specific in mind

This is great, thank you! Yes, exactly, I’m looking for the ‘Lego’ pieces to make the larder!
