Water meter affecting water pressure??

One house divided into two flats .
One incoming water supply . Must have individual split to serve each flat as use by one has never affected flow in other flat.
One flat has had a water meter installed , is there a possibility that this has increased pressure in the other flat ?
High water pressure in this area.
Asking because our flat , without meter, now having problems with water hammer and vibrating pipes.
Or am in bonkers and paranoid?

More likely that there is air in the system from when they installed the meter. I think there is a thing you can do where you force water back up the pipes to get rid of trapped air but I haven't done it myself. Hopefully someone else with more experience will pop along in a bit

Thanks . It's worrying me so I've contacted someone to have a look.
Water is always such a worry, I'm terrified it'll leak into the flat below.

If the meter has been installed by the water board, might be worth asking your neighbour to get onto them explaining the situation and see if they/you can get anywhere that way as there's been a knock on effect to your water supply.

Thanks, that's a good idea.
