Is this acceptable? (Windows/door installation)

Looking for advice on whether the work carried out on our windows/door installation is acceptable. And also on the options on getting it fixed.

We had a terrible install on the door to the point that we said we didn't want the joiner back to finish. The manager came out and agreed that the work was not to standard. Two new joiners, who knew of the issues, came to fix the door and install the windows.

The work, in my opinion, is not good enough but I'd like the opinion of others. There are misaligned joins, split wood where a nail gun has been used on decorative trim, gouges out of the inside frame, scratches on the outside and the silicone seals are not great either. I've attached photos of some of the work. Does anyone know if it's possible for them to fix the scratches/gouges? Should the gap at the bottom of the door be even?

Also, the spirit level shows the windows aren't totally level but it is an old house so would this be expected? In one room the radiator is level and you can see the difference.

Thanks in advance for any replies. (We haven't paid yet, still waiting for painter to finish the woodwork.)

The door one looks a bit out of level ? But if its an old house its not really noticeable.

The rest of them need fixing. The split wood one and the moulding on top of the windows. Is shoddy work. I’d be embarrassed to leave my own house with work like that, never mind someone who has paid me to do it.

It’s a bad job OP.

I agree it’s not well done. Make them put it right before you pay.

Thanks everyone for confirming what we thought. It's a lot of money for poor quality work from a high profile company.

I would definitely withhold a good 10- 20% until you are entirely satisfied. Shoddy workmanship is so maddening. Especially in carpentry!
They will just have to keep coming back and fixing things . It is not up to you to have to find solutions, that is their job. Be polite but demanding. Don't settle for mediocre just because you are sick of having them in the house.
I would stand there and supervise if possible. Sometimes they like to "damage " something else so you will stop calling. Unfortunately I have found it helps to have a man around to breathe down their necks.

If you said it was amateur diy I would have said they did well, having no training or experience. But you have hired professionals and that it's utterly shameful and well below an acceptable standard. Awful shoddy work.
