How many people viewed your house before it sold?

Just that really… how many people viewed your house before it sold?

Ours is in a popular area where not many houses of this size come up so I am feeling hopeful for a quick sale but don’t want to get ahead of myself.

Three I think. May have been 4. We pulled the drawbridge up behind the last couple because they offered just under asking and honestly we would have accepted less, we just wanted to move at that point!

Ladyj84 · 05/07/2024 05:01

1 and offered the asking done and dusted quickly for us

mrsed1987 · 05/07/2024 06:08

We had an 'open house' viewing day. So in total I think 12 people viewed and we had 6 offers.

Thar was 1 day after officially going on the market.

CusheyButterfield · 05/07/2024 06:19

4 over a weekend. We sold to the first ones who'd come to view.

PlantEnthusiast · 05/07/2024 06:28

We did an open house, around 25 viewings over a few hours one Saturday morning. I can’t remember how many offers but ended up with 9 at best and final stage. We accepted an offer 10% over asking

AliceinSlumberland · 05/07/2024 06:57

We had 8 viewings and sold after 3 weeks on the market, just sold it last week. I got a bit downhearted after the initial flurry didn’t lead to offers but then someone came out of nowhere, viewed it and offered!

Babychewtoy · 05/07/2024 07:08

Thank you! That’s very encouraging. We have viewings booked in for tomorrow so fingers crossed 🤞

Sold to second viewer 4 days after going on market in Feb this year. Was competitively priced for quick sale and accepted under asking price.

BG2015 · 05/07/2024 07:20

3 and the third one put an offer in.

neonyellowskirt · 05/07/2024 07:20

About 15? Had it on the market for a month, a bunch of viewings and good comments but no offers; reduced the price, had an offer the next day for new asking price, and went with that.

Roselilly36 · 05/07/2024 07:21

6

Scissorsisters · 05/07/2024 07:23

1 and asking price offer.

Every single time.

Presenting it well and pricing to sell is the key, I think.

MangoJojo · 05/07/2024 07:26

4, in 3 months. And our house was also in a desirable location, not up for sale often, great house that had been gutted and redone by us. Sea views.
There is no guarantee what yours will do, but I hope it goes quickly for you

Useruserdoubleuser · 05/07/2024 07:27

We had 20 over the first weekend. Got 19 offers. Went to best offers and about 40k over asking. Got 10k knocked off after survey but all pretty smooth.
Good luck. The first week brings out the buyers who are ready and waiting.

itsgoingtobeabumpyride · 05/07/2024 07:28

Two on the same day and the first one put in an offer of full asking price on the day.
Put it up for sale in July and I moved in November.
Sounds like yours will sell, fingers crossed.
My old house is in a sought after area for first time buyers and on the outskirts of a historic city, my area is relatively cheap considering where it is.
Good luck and update us.

Soontobe60 · 05/07/2024 07:28

2 within the first week, both offered.
When I sold my mums house, we had 10 viewings within the 1st week and 5 offers. The sale fell through at the last minute, went back on sale the next day and one of the original viewers came back and offered 5% over asking, It sold 2 months later.

TheStickySweethearts · 05/07/2024 07:31

About 5 in 3 weeks. We put a cheeky price on it to offer wiggle room and got very close to it.
