Please help me, with ideas on which black out blinds would you chose for this style window?

I’m struggling to work out what will look best, offers black out and comes in a big enough size which is 240cm w x 164cm drop. Thank you!

2 x 120 cm Venetian blinds?

Thanks @Daftasabroom. See I didn’t think that would work because the break doesn’t go all the way down

Just to add we have this style window in two of the bedrooms as well, hence the need for black out.

Definitely Roman style. We have always got ours from Hillary's but recently used blibds2go and was so impressed with the quality. I paid a tradesman handyman person to put them up and was dirt cheap

Roman fitted on the inside of the window recess in the kitchen, but on the outside in bedrooms. The width is problematic though and you will end up with a gap between if you do two

Can you do shutters? Have you enough space?

Alternatively

Vertical blinds in recess (can look a bit officey though). With Romans/curtains in the bedrooms fitted outside recess.

Looks like a kitchen, so I'd go for something that goes up and down, like roller blinds to eliminate some of the splashback from sink/cooking, ie keep them in better order. We have ventian blinds in our kitchen, but it's a pain remove dust as dampness/heat from cooking makes it cling..

The width is fine, you just get them made to measure

Haha yes, I've made loads of Roman blinds (about 20) . I have some that are 2m across and if I was to do them again I'd split them . Because they are so wide they show up every imperfection, tricky pattern matching and bit of wonkyness (to my eye - I doubt if anyone notices the issues in real life) And my sewing skills are top notch (hubble brag). Plus if they are up and down all the time it is harder to get a nice folded top without a bit of extra faffing.

The lack of space in the window recess/above the window is problematic as well I feel, the folds will take up a third of the window.

I'm not sure you've got space to hang roman blinds above the recess. If you do this is the option I'd go for.
If you don't I think I'd do a roller blind in the kitchen. And curtains (or curtains and a roller blind) in the bedrooms.

I think maybe that’s as they are home made, if you get them done professionally this size is no issue at all, and the folds would be less than 12 inches when fully open.
