Do work after feedback or try and sell as is

Had feedback from 1 guy about something that I did think might put some people off. We have some cracks in the walls on the outside. They're not hugely noticeable - he's the first person who's mentioned them - 4 EAs that valued didn't, not any other people who viewed. They're not a structural issue, we've had 2 reports done on them so I'm not worried about someone's survey pulling them as a problem, but it's something that bothers me and obviously bothered at least one other viewer - he actually said he loved it and would have bought if it weren't for this issue.
We've been quoted 8k and 2 weeks max for the work, could be done in 1 week but it's weather dependent. We were all set to take house off, do work and re-list but I'm not sure timing wise. We need to be in and registered in new house by next October for schools. If we take off now with summer holidays are we missing the best opportunity to sell? It's only 1 guy that's said it, maybe it doesn't really notice to anyone else. All the best companies are booked up with work on schools over the summer holidays so would have to be done either before of after if we do go for it. Or I guess we could leave as is and then if not sold by then get work booked in for Oct / Nov when the market is shit anyway but so is the weather. Agh!

How much is your house worth? Is it worth £8k for you to sell it?

Given the stagnant market due to the election in a fortnight, I’d get the work done quickly then re-list once the election is over and the markets have calmed down a bit.

House is valued at 650k so yeah £8k is worth it. It's not really the money that I'm worrying about, just the timing because we need to be in and registered for council tax by next October. Which sounds like ages away but isn't really when you think how long things take
