A room with (no) view

Hi
I have a TV/games room used by my older teenager that has no windows. It is in dire need of decoration. Eventually the room will probably be repurposed into a cinema/TV room once DC has left home after Uni. The overwhelming temptation is to go for a light colour (perhaps even white) but I've also read that a more definite colour can be more effective even without natural light. If we opt for a bolder colour I'm thinking of a blue or green, something along the lines of F&B Selvedge or Dix Blue. The room is well lit by LED spotlights. Anyone faced the same issue or any suggestions?

We don't have a room with no windows, but the front of our house is north facing and can be really dark. For those rooms I have used darker colours - from F&B I've used inchyra blue and de nimes.

Darker colours make the room more cosy and work well with "unnatural"
light. It's also easier to embrace the dark than to try to get lighter schemes to work in my view.
The other colour I might consider is a pink, specifically F&B pink ground which I think works brilliantly as a sort of warm neutral where you have little light. It is also a useful base if there are other colours you want to get into a room, as works with greens, blues, yellows, darker pinks.
Of the two colours you have mentioned, we had dix blue in a very light bright room (previous owner's choice) and it was very lively in that space, and a bit too bright for me, but the colour will look different in your room. Selvage is a lighter version of de nimes and I did like it but preferred the darker and more blue colour for a north facing dining room - lit with candles it looks great.
