Is there such a thing as a project manager for just general house maintenance and repairs?

I’m feeling really overwhelmed with the amount of work we need to do on our house and don’t really have the time to tackle it all… but the longer we leave it the worse it will get… is there someone you can pay to just sort it all out? Like getting quotes from trades people, making sure that they then turn up and do the work, that sort of thing… I have a rental property and pay the letting agents a management fee to do this for me in relation to that property… is there such a service for your own?

Maybe ask the letting agents if, for a negotiated fee, they would take your own house on, just for the repairs / maintenance side? They are there to make money and this seems like an easy win for them. They would just be acting as building manager or facilities agent.

Oh OP. Where were you 6 or 7 years ago when I was trying to do exactly this sort of thing for people? I had to give up and go back to full time employment as I couldn't get enough work to keep me going.
PPs suggestion of asking your letting agent is a good one. They may also know someone that could do this for you.

We have a holiday let and there are lots of people offering this type of maintenance service for holiday lets and second homes. May be take a look at that? Many of them have trades employed so you only need one point of contact to organise all the work you want done.

@Justlovedogs I'm sorry your business didn't work out! That actually sounds like something a lot of people need. Also so many trades I know are a bit shit at communications and would probably be really pleased to have someone take that off them and deal with clients so they could get on with the job. May be it was right idea but wrong place/time.

I was wondering about this the other day! I would love this, my whole house needs redecorated and it's overwhelming trying to work out who needs to do what and in what order.

@IamwhoIsayIam Thanks. I suspect you're right. The world has definitely changed in the last few years. Fortunately, after a bit of a tough time, I've found my place in the world and have a job I enjoy running projects in a (mostly) very rewarding environment. I still thinking helping people out with their home projects could have been fun and a good use of my skills, though.
