Partially replacing laminate floors

I had a bad leak from above and laminate floorboards have lifted in places. Does anyone understand if you can replace seperate laminate boards? I can charge via insurance but I don’t think id be able to get away with a full floor replacement

@eakleaks

It will depend how they are fitted. If glued, replacing a couple is difficult. If they just click together, not so difficult. The big danger is damaging the boards next to the ones you want to replace and matching won't be that easy. What about skirting boards? Is the damaged floor central? I would get a flooring shop out to look. If you know the make of flooring, target a stockist.

Damaged floor is right by a doorway, skirting boards are fine. It’s about eight floorboards which are damaged. It predates me living here but looks super generic

The issue is trying to match it. Try and measure the "planks" and work out what wood it is. It's not easy to match and hopefully won't have faded.
