FENSA certificates - can you get them after the job?

I had a wooden back door replaced with a double glazed UPVC one by a FENSA registered installer. However, I didn't get a FENSA certificate from him at the time (I didn't realise it was a separate thing to the ten year warranty). I'm selling my house so I contacted him to see if he would register it for me but he's not replying.

What are my options? Could I get it registered any other way? I have the receipts from the install and warranty. I presume I would need building control to come out and inspect it? Or do I just ask my conveyancer to get an indemnity?

My buyers are a real PITA so I'm trying to cross all the t's and dot the i's.

All the windows in the house have FENSA certificates already, so it's just one back door.

You can register with FENSA now as it's time limited (has to be registered within 21 days) and they don't let you backdate the certificate, if also gas to be done by the installer. You can get insurance for a few pounds to cover the door

It was four years ago so definitely too late! I will let my conveyancer know I need indemnity for it then. Thanks.
