Yep. I was prepared to take on a fixer upper, but this is now turned into a renovation project.

And unless you get a roofer round, that’s the unknown. The asbestos is where? Just in the artex? You could have asked the vendor to get it tested.
Regardess, it’s a ton of work. Needs to be a bargain to take it on. Don’t forget all the local builders, property spivs and flippers have rejected it.

That is a very good point about the local builders and property flippers will have been looking at it too.

It will sell but not at the price the vendor is hoping for.

Yes funnily enough, estate agent mentioned that they had someone interested who wanted to turn it into an Airbnb, it’s close to an area popular with cyclists and walkers; when o asked them why they pulled out estate agent said there was problem with the chain??

I think unless they reduce price to 80 it would have to go to auction maybe?

Surveyor says need asbestos report, but could be in the walls or other components, I’m aware of how deadly asbestos is.

I have very limited experience of asbestos reports but places I know they look for it is
Roofing felt - part of the building has flat roof.
Vinyl flooring
Artex - walls and ceiling
The electric board it was used as an insulator at some point.
And some electric ducts (not likely to be in a domestic house)

There might be other places but those are what spring to mind.

Looks like they just put it back in market for the same price 120k!

Run rabbit run.
They can dream on. Nobody is going to pay that for it.

As someone else said the local property flippers and developers will also have had a look
