Bathroom ventilation

Have an internal bathroom (no windows) and no external wall. How would you ventilate it? Would an extractor fan be possible?

Extractor fan through the ceiling with the ducting out through the loft to an outside wall.

That’s what the bathroom in my DD’s old rental house had.

The bathroom is the middle floor of a 3 floor house so I don't think that will work

Is it a conversion property?
Is it yours or rented?
I don't think it is allowed to have an unventilated bathroom - i winder how that can happen.
But yes through the ceiling and ducting to an outside wall. Use rigid ducting if you can.

Own it. Newish property. There is a mvhr system but I don't like it and turned it off. For the last few years I have opened the adjoining room window and it has been fine. Thinking ahead longer term.

You can have ducting through the void between the ceiling and the floor above

Good idea. Is that a big job? Time/ cost/ upheaval?

You turned off your ventilation system? Why?

Funkycoolcat · 06/05/2024 17:23

Very noisy and it didn't make much difference

I'd get that serviced / looked at. Are the neighbours quieter?

Funkycoolcat · 06/05/2024 19:19

I am.ok without it but realise long term it may need to be looked at but wondered if there are other options
