Warm roof 'conservatory style' extension

Does anyone have one? How good are they? Are the temperate year round?

We have a south-facing conservatory which is ancient, too hot in summer and too cold in winter. We need the space, and it is the only natural source to the kitchen and dining room inside the main house. We are trying to work out our best approach to replacing what we have, and it's proving complicated!

Following as we are wanting to do the same.
Ideally we would want to swap our conservatory for a similar size extension with bifolds and a couple of velux windows.
I think this would cost between30-50k though which is out of budget.

From what I've read, warm roofs on an existing conservatory start at around 6-7k I think. The solid roof option is slightly more but it depends if the base of your conservatory can take the weight. I think this is the option we will probably end up going for, adding in a couple of velux windows or a roof lantern, plastering the ceiling and replacing our patio doors/glass.

My brother had an orangery style conservatory built from scratch last year with solid glass walls, solar glass and french doors. That came in at around 20k so guessing what we're planning will be similar cost wise.
