How to fix this dripping tap?

There's no obvious way to take it apart, and I don't know the name or style of tap to Google it. Does anyone have any ideas? The dripping is getting worse!

Is the spout bit able to be unscrewed? I mean the little ring where the water actually comes out? There's usually a washer behind it that might need replacing.

In the type of tap you have, I'm pretty sure the top also comes off (the bit you pull up to turn on the tap) and it has a cartridge inside that you can change. I'm unsure how to actually take it off though. Hopefully someone else comes along who actually knows plumbing terms and can be more helpful, perhaps @pigletjohn

Is there a small disc at the back of the tap, near the top? It’ll be about 5mm wide and pointing to the wall. You can prize this off with a small screwdriver and there should be a screw underneath. Use a small alan key to undo this screw and the top of the tap should come off.
PUT THE PLUG IN FIRST so nothing drops down the hole!!! (and obviously switch the water supply to the tap off too….)
You can then undo the cartridge with a spanner and replace it. Take the old one to a plumbers merchants because there are quite a few different types.

On some taps you can unscrew the lever you use to turn the tap on (the sticking out rod bit at the top). And you’ll find the little screw under that to use your alan key on. The one above looks like you can do that, but your tap looks like it’s all one piece.
On others there might be a disc covering the whole top of the tap you can unscrew.

Thanks everyone, we haven't been able to take the tap apart unfortunately. The drip is turning into a steady flow, so I may need to just replace it. :(

If you can't find an exact replacement, just chose a pair of taps similar.
