A challenge - trad bath vanity with drawers

I don't know if this exists, but I've been looking without much success. We're looking for a bathroom vanity unit with traditional styling but with drawers because it's much easier to access things in drawers and DP can't bend down easily due to dodgy knees. Needs to take a 60cm wide basin and not a bowl on the top. Can't go wider due to space constraints in the bathroom. Any ideas please?

We bought an old sideboard and got our bathroom fitter to put a sink into it and had some marble cut for the top. If you can't find what you want then you could do similar with an old set of drawers?

The company Burlington bathrooms make traditional furniture with drawers that might be suitable also Heritage bathrooms make traditional bathroom furniture . They might be worth a look 😊

When we have very specific requirements, we use a local carpenter to make items for us. Could that be an option? It’s not as expensive as you might think and while a little more than buying machine made off the shelf (no pun intended) is definitely worth it as it fits and blends perfectly.

Thank you for the suggestions. I really don't want to go the upcycling route for a number of reasons. Also we've spent so long getting to this point I don't want to have to find someone to make something on top of everything else. Good suggestions though.

I am finding lots of the options (there aren't many) are wall hung, which I'm not struck on.

I think ours is the same space, the top 'drawer' its for appearances only, due to the sink being in it, like you I didnt want a bowl on top

The cupboard below it, now has a number of pull out baskets for exactly the reasons you say, fridge organisers are good for this although ours are wicker baskets.

Its not perfect but I really struggled to find something cost effective that I liked.

Thank you, but the Burlington one is a no from DP. Shaker drawer fronts are fine, but he doesn't want out and out traditional looking.

Ascot is more shaker style. Not sure about the colours though.

If you are going for a standard 600 mm width and can find the style you like, but with doors not drawers, I would seriously consider adding pull out drawers to the cupboard. They literally just screw into the sides of the unit and there are lots of different styles available.

Sorry, just realised you didn’t want wall hung.

Look at kitchen base units. We did this in the last house, worked very well.

What about this one from IKEA? You can add legs: www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/taennforsen-wash-stand-with-drawers-white-00535115/#content

The IKEA hemnes is very neutral, would that work?

Thank you for all the suggestions. It may well be IKEA for the win! Does anyone know whether you can fit any taps of your choice to IKEA basins? I know there are some quirks with their stuff.

I think k you can put any taps you want. I will have Ikea cavities and basins, but I haven't bought them yet so I can't confirm first hand. What I like about them is that the pipes go flat under the basin, and then against the wall, so you have a normal first drawer, not a mock one.
