Bathroom Extractor Fan

I need a super string extractor fan in one of my bathrooms. The one we have just doesn't seem to be cutting it. There is so much condensation whenever we have a shower. Any recommendations?

I tried a stronger fan (thru wall style vent axia) and it was too noisy on the faster setting and would keep the house awake. Is your room cold so getting lots of condensation? Mine is, I think it needs more heat in the room to prevent condensation occurring (and evaporate it after it's happened).

Have you checked that the extractor you have isn’t blocked, or is correctly fitted? Can you see the vent in the outside wall?
one thing to try is to have the extractor on for a few minutes before showering, as this starts the process of removing the air before additional moisture is added. Then make sure you let it run for a while afterwards.

I replaced mine recently as the old one went kaput after 10 years.
You can get a basic one, or one that works with a timer and you can set it to stop running X minutes after you turn the light off, or get one with a humidistat which is the most costly but figures out when to turn itself off after measuring the humidity. Also look out for the decibel level, you can get some that are very low on volume. I went with a Manrose IIRC and it's good.

I'm currently looking at the envirovent 250t inline fan. We already have a fan in our loft (vents from ceiling) so will just be a straight swap (hopefully). It has good reviews and is apparently ultra silent.
