How much would this landscaping cost?

How much do you think this landscaping might cost? I’m getting people in to quote, but just want to get an indication as to whether it is likely to be closer to £5k or £30k

It’s a new build garden, gently sloping away from the house. Approx 15m by 15m. Laid to lawn last year. Good access.

What we want is relatively simple:

At the end of the garden, an area about 4m by 9m (so going across 2/3 the width of the garden, along the fence at the end) levelled flat and laid with a mixture of gravel and slabs (part of which to be the base for a future summer house).

Sleepers or stone “wall” to account for the height difference (40 or 50cm height)

Steps down to the patio/gravel area (so just accounting for the 40-50cm height difference)

Path (gravel or stepping stones) from the house to steps to the gravel/patio

Any ideas? Just trying to get an idea of whether I am dreaming regarding budget. We would have future plans to add a summerhouse and pergola, but would be happy with just the landscaping for now. Scottish central belt, so not London prices, but not cheap as chips either.

Definitely closer to £5K than £30K.

I'm in SE England and my landscaping will cost around £10K. That includes materials, some change to the level on one side and some additional work to ensure proper drainage away from the property. The paved area will be larger than yours (about 60m2), although I won't be having sleepers / steps.

Thank you, that is very helpful.

I had my head so much wrapped up in it I was failing to see it as just a 32 m2 patio plus a retaining wall.
