So I just can’t think what colours to do lounge in as it’s currently purple/pink (tastefully)
sofa’s are grey fleck
Walls are pale ivory with front wall dark purple
if you were doing yours what would you choose ?

Considering yellow for this one when I redecorate soon - grey sofas and curtains (and I'm too broke to buy new curtains with the ceiling height in here at the moment). Still trying to get my head fully around it as we've always had a tiny house prior to this so have tended to avoid colours much because of room sizes - but the rooms here are huge with high ceilings so I can be a bit more adventurous.

Jitney by Farrow and ball. Add dark greens for cushions. Or have dark green walls if you want something darker and more exciting , eg Beverley. If you want a sunnier look, I love Setting Plaster. It is brilliant for a more Mediterranean look.

Neutrals are in at the moment, pink, and dopamine colours e.g. bold and bright.

Dark traditional in Victorian properties - navy, green, burgundy, floral wallpaper.

@LadyTiredWinterBottom2 Not entirely. Lots of new colours are not entirely neutral. You need to think about your furniture and ambiance. Yes, Scandi will be neutral but you really don’t have to follow the herd and decorate like a Victorian. Careful use of colour to make the ambience you want is better then following history. So many magazines show beautiful Victorian homes with no dark colours at all.
