My barren utility room

We finished our massive renovation last year and ran out of money so garden looks like a bomb site and our utility room is just floor tiles. It's an awkward L-ish shape with a massive Air source heat pump cylinder in one corner.

My washing machine and tumble dryer are stacked in a corner , we're using an old desk as a stand and everything is just dumped on the floor.

A plumber has already put pipes down for a sink.

Who can design a tiny utility room for me? I have no confidence and frankly, after 3 years renovating, am sick of it and want to give the job to someone else!!!!

God - I remember the dying days of a big reno project. You do get to a point where you have lost all interest and the ability to take decisions. We got to the end of our last project and just had the whole house painted white on a "temporary" basis. Was quite handy when we had to move considerably earlier than planned for schooling reasons.

Have you got any pics or diagrams? Useful to know

Have you a budget? Are you looking for a temp 2-3 yr bodge it solution or someone to help you design something that looks or did come out of a luxury kitchen makers?

What do you need to fit in it? Washer dryer aside. Pets, vast quantities of hobby equipment/unusual outdoor gear. Storage for extra kitchen stuff, counter space for other appliances [eg air fryer, bread maker]; space to iron.

Anything unusual needed? My DH seems to have about 50 coats acquired over 20 years. He uses them all at various points but they take up most of the understairs cupboard and coat rack space in our utility room. I'd love to put in built in cupboards that hides them all and stores them more efficiently but the dog has a lovely cosy corner there with a huge basket and a radiator. Warm in winter and cool in summer.

The end of a big renovation is exhausting. We were broke at the end as well. I sketched my utility out on paper, adding water in/out points, where doors and windows opened and where plug sockets were.

One mistake I made was to have a normal sized sink with a half-sink, wish I'd gone for one huge sink instead to wash all the big, mucky things. A tap with a detachable spray-head is brilliant though. As is a fold-down airer that's on the wall above the tall radiator, means I can dry some washing there off the floor. Are your ceilings tall enough for a Sheila's maid for drying clothes? Don't forget a good extractor fan, although building regs mean you have to have one now anyway.
Oh and under cupboard lighting on a motion sensor/timer, so low lights come on when you come in with your arms full of washing.

Meant to say after sketching it on paper I used the DIY Kitchens online planner for the layout.

What are your dimensions? Can you do a sketch and post it here? Show all windows, doors and sockets.

Also what is the ceiling height?

Thanks everyone. I'll get sketching and listing.

You're absolutely right. I've gone from being up ladders and helping with rendering and loving tiling, to being totally averse to it. I'm sick of it and want to start living again.
