Wood burning stove in warm room style conservatory

Has anybody done this.?

I'm looking for thoughts on how this has worked out practically rather than comments on wood burning stoves per sey..

It will be a sort of a cross between a conservatory and extension as it has a warm roof... and some walls

Am thinking of tiles for floor

I have one in my double glazed conservatory. It means I can use it for an extra few months per year (mostly weekends) without putting the central heating on. Gets nice and toasty but would be expensive for an everyday room.

Yes, we have a garden room with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. The underfloor heating keeps the chill and damp off; if we want to use the room in the winter, we light the log burner, give it half an hour and it's lovely. Our living room also has a log burner. It's north facing, so we use it when we want to hunker down and the dark makes it extra cosy. On those winter days when we are desperate for some light, we use the garden room (we have it set up as another living room and dining room) which has a glass roof, settle down with a good book and make the most of almost being outside but with a log fire! We do Christmas out there every year. It's the part of our house that everyone says "wow" to. Without the log burner, we wouldn't use it from November to March. You wouldn't regret it.
