Dithering buyers

Hi we had a offer on our house end Jan. Buyers had a survey a couple of weeks ago and then sent in an electrician this monday to do a further survey. Today they visited again.

Our EA are asking us to wait for feedback before we book the survey on the house we want to buy and have offered on. Is this usual. it's really driving me crackers. Our buyers don't seem to be saying directly that all is ok but would they need to do that anyway. I just want to get going on our survey and our sellers must be frustrated too.

This sounds like the buyers who eventually pulled out on us a couple of weeks away from exchange. When they got their survey back, they asked for £20,000 off the price! We saw a copy of the survey and subsequent damp and timber quotes and they were in no way justified in their request. We were so worried about losing them and our onward purchase, that we took £5000 off the price. We should never have trusted these flaky sods, because 5 months after they had offered, they pulled out.
Try to stand your ground as you know what your house is worth, people will try it on, yes, you risk losing them as buyers, but they don’t sound like ideal genuine buyers anyway.
