Kitchen floor tiles

I want to replace the tiles in my house, they're just not my style at all and the previous owners never took very good care of them unfortunately. Can I ask does anyone know the process? Is it a big job, does it affect the kitchen cabinets etc. Basically is there anything I need to be mindful of if I go ahead with this (still need to persuade partner).

Also, any tips for choosing kitchen/sun room flooring. Dos/donts would be appreciated The current tiles/grouting are just so dirty, years of dirt ingrained in them basically making them impossible to fully clean. I'm not 100% sure on the original colour but I think it was a light grey with white grouting, so that's maybe not the best option for such a busy area.

I love LVT in the style of wooden floor, but there is already engineered wooden flooring in the house so not sure it would suit.

It may be possible to lay the new flooring over the tiles. The flooring will come with an underlay in any case, which will even it out if need be. I would check with the flooring supplier before ordering just to be sure.

If you are considering LVT for a room that gets a lot of sun, be aware that some people report discoloration after a period of time.

I had wondered if placing it on top of the tiles would be a possibility. The tiles aren't even that old (7 years or so), but they just wouldn't have been my choice at all, so I'm struggling to get used to them. Think I'll pop into a few places this weekend and ask some questions, maybe get someone out to look at the space and quote.

Thats a really good tip, as the space does get quite a lot of sun during the day so might be risky. Thanks
