I’d just put caulk in the gaps and paint over if the different colour is glaringly obvious!

A bit of filler would do it. Very cheap

pavillion1 · 06/03/2024 17:58

ok , is it easy enough to do ?

You want some caulk in it.

YouTube is your friend for this sort of thing.

Definitely doesn't need replacing. It's a pretty simple fix.

I'd fill and then sand back to shape , you can use wood filler or caulk which is a tad more flexible as you look like you have a bit of movement there with it cracking on top too don't take the boards off totally not needed 🙂

Very easy to do. Caulk or filler, you squeeze them into the gap, let them dry and sand them down. Then you can paint over it.

Check if loose first. Once solidly fixed then caulk / fill and paint.

Thanks so much guys .

If it’s loose or wobbling about, get some grip fill/ no nails or that kind of thing in there to secure it before caulking.

Caulk isn't the best thing to use unless you are experienced . The easiest way is to use Toupret quick dry filler ,beware of imitators because they are usually very difficult to sand. It's easy to use but most importantly is easy to sand. Mix it, fill the gaps ( use plenty too much is better than not enough), sand smooth and paint. have done this too many times to count and worked everytime

You don’t need to be experienced to use caulk, just squirt some in the gap, smooth it off with your finger, and wipe off any excess!

This. Idiot proof

I would squeeze some glue behind the boards and then hammer in place with a few headless nails. Let dry, then caulk, and repaint.
