Favourite colour for a bedroom?

What's your favourite colour for a bedroom? We can't decide at all. Tried testers in blues, pinks, neutrals, most rooms in the house are green so trying to avoid my natural inclination. Bedroom is east facing.

Sage green,so calming.

Sage green or almond white (love that its cooler not too yellowy cream). Always had small rooms so no bright colours. Would like an accent wall though. If that’s even what its called. Behind the bed.

Hi, I’ve got Benjamin Moore seaglass on the bedroom walls right now and I’m in love with it. Make sure you get the eggshell coat as it’s easier to clean. At night it’s nice cozy and it’s just beautiful in the daytime. Benjamin Moore now has a web side that shows big picture samples of the colors

The green love on here is not helping me resist ANOTHER green room!

Not going to help you but we have look-a-likey F&B Pale Powder which is just lovely and ethereal

East and North facing generally look and feel better with warm colors: pink, yellow, cream etc.
I had a bedroom with full sun, south facing and lots of windows and used a pale blue and it was gorgeous.
I tend to buy some samples and paint a large square and see how it looks during different times of the day. I like softer, lighter shades for bedrooms.

We have one really small bedroom facing south and I used a soft white (Benjamin Moore Simply White) everywhere except their colour of the year in 2020 First Light 2102-70 on one accent wall, which is a soft blush pink. I just really wanted to use in somewhere and it creates a very relaxed, restful vibe in there.

Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light brightens a room. Looks great with white bed linen and with pops of yellow or even maroon. Very versatile.

We have also just used F&B Setting Plaster. Wonderful with rattan furniture. Another room is Peignor. A fantastic soft greyish pale lavender. We have used it with a soft pink and green paisley bed spread and white shutters. I think it’s relaxing and smart.

Love Peignoir. I tried lots of pinks before I settled on this. It’s a lovely greyish pink and looks wonderful in my bedroom.

We've got Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light. I love how it changes throughout the day and evening and it makes a neutral background for everything without being an obviously neutral colour itself.

@Notellinganyone @martinisforeveryone What good taste we have!

Crispynoodle · 26/02/2024 23:48

We have F&B setting plaster in one, French Grey in another but we kept the peignoir for the bathroom it's lush

@Indecisivelurcher We have suggested several great colours that are not green! Peignor, Setting Plaster, Borrowed Light, and I like Wevet as a blueish white. I’ve also used Cornforth White and Blackened. Both give a good neutral feel where you build up colour with curtains, headboard and soft furnishings.

Indecisivelurcher · 27/02/2024 09:38

Yes it's been useful! I like them. Will get samples.
