Which area of London

Hi all, I posted a while ago looking for places outside London, but we are possibly reconsidering to remain in the city.
We currently live in Ealing, where we are renting, and we have a DD who is in reception. One of us works from home, the other one (me) in South Kensington, where I need to be not more than 3 days a week.

In the summer, we will try to buy a place. If we stay in the city, we are looking at a 2 bedroom flat, a garden would be a dream but we are realistic that it's likely not in our budget. Priority is space, as the flat should be decently sized (> 65 m2). Schools are very important, and so are safety and green areas.
Our budget is unfortunately very modest, 375-385k (we could potentially stretch it to 400k if service charge is very low but ideally we want to stay below that). Partner does not drive, so good public transportations would be important.
We have seen > 30 flats in the Ealing-Hanwell area in our budget, but unfortunately when they are in our budget they are either very small or in areas of Ealing/Hanwell that would not work for us.
Is there any area of London which would fit our checklist, or AIBU?
Thank you!

West Norwood SE27 definitely worth a look too.

Excellent primary and secondary schools, much improved high street and great local community.

SE London is fab. Bromley is the greenest borough. I think people get wary as it's not on the tube line (although Sydenham and Penge/CP are now) but there are lots of trains which people don't appreciate.

Eltham is surprisingly hilly but quiet and really well connected train and bus wise. Trains into Victoria, Cannon Street, Charing Cross plus quick bus to North Greenwich to get on the Jubilee line. Bluewater 20 mins away for shopping. We only stayed a short time while we were buying elsewhere but has a very nice community vibe. Loads of outdoor space.

If I had my time all over again in London I would have prioritised living Crystal Palace way. I really like South London and yes, people are weird about it!
