Should I tell the truth about why I want to leave?

Basically I can't bear to live in my flat anymore, been there 2 and half years with no issues. Then a new neighbour moved in and makes so much noise. I have already addressed this with them and it stopped for a while but now it is just back to the same noise.
I have 5 months left on my lease but don't think I could stick 5 more months of this as my mental health is already suffering.
So I'm going to pluck up the courage to ask the landlord if I can leave early. But do I tell them the truth? Or just say it's because I'm moving jobs?
The reason being I don't want this to reflect badly on me as a tenant. My flat is also let through an estate agency but I'm mostly in contact with the landlord about stuff.
i might need to rent from this estate agency again and I just don't want them labelling me a difficult tenant as I wanted to leave somewhere early due to noise levels.
To put it in context , I'm in my 40s and have never had to complain about noise before with anyone.
What do I do?

Ps. I was going to complain about my neighbour to his estate agency but honestly I can't be bothered, I'm done with it and just want out of it now. I tried to fix it myself , it didn't work.

Why would leaving because of unbearable noise disruption from a neighbour 'reflect badly' on you as a tenant?

Yes, it's going to give the landlord something to think about as this is likely to affect future tenants if the neighbour stays and continues to be this noisy, but that's not your problem.

Just contact them to ask if you can give your notice early - they'll only say yes or no. I don't think you have to give a reason.

you don't have to give a reason. Even if you did, it is not unreasonable!
