Places with architecture similar to Wimbledon Village?

Hi, I’m looking to find an area to settle down / raise a family in with a max budget of £2m. I love the architecture in the residential streets of Wimbledon Village but it’s unaffordable. Do people have suggestions for other areas in the outskirts of London, or commuter towns that have similar architecture? Specifically very green/foliage-heavy lined streets with detached period houses in varied styles? My husband’s parents live in Harrow on the Hill, which has a similar feel, but we feel like that area lacks a sense of community and easy access to beautiful outdoor walks. Do people have any other suggestions for other areas with similarly varied and picturesque architecture?

I can think of others but they are all expensive! Hampstead, Dulwich Village, Blackheath…

You could look at places like Weybridge or East Molesely but they are quite a bit further out. Various Surrey or Kent commuter towns would fit the leafy detached bill but the period is more Arts & Crafts to 1950s than Victorian/Georgian.

Ealing? Has its own garden suburb too.

Not sure how far you want to go out but Pewley Hill area in Guildford is lovely.

You could try a little bit outside of Wimbledon Village though.. Wimbledon Park or the top end of Southfields closer to Wimbledon. Maybe even Putney on the other side.

I dont think houses in South Wimbledon/Central Wimbledon around the £1m mark are worth their price. They’re mainly standard victorian houses that have been extended (larger kitchen and a loft bedroom). Nothing special

Maybe Kew? It depends on how many rooms you want

I agree with the above
