Do I have a claim on the rental property

Hi all just looking for some advice here as I really don’t know what to do. I’ve lived at my rental property for about 10 years (7 of which with my ex partner). Unbeknownst to me my name was not on the tenancy, despite sharing the bills for 7 years.
Around 3 years ago, my ex partner cheated on me and moved out and into her new partners house, leaving me with the houses bills to pay by myself. Since then all the bills have been in my name council tax, gas and electric etc.
Our children stay with me 3 times a week and have their own rooms here
Last week she had informed me that my name was not on the tenancy and she’s ended the tenancy agreement with the housing association and I have 28 days to move out. Now I called the housing association last year and told them that she didn’t live here anymore and they dismissed it and just said she needs to call us.
My ex has said she’s done this as revenge for taking her to court for access to our children
Is there anything I can do because I have had continuous bills in the property ever since I’ve lived here, I can’t bear the thought of losing my home, I’d literally have no where else to go, I have bad credit and I’ve tried to get a private rental place before and been turned down because of my credit. I’m literally at my wits end and don’t know what to do 😭
Thank you for reading :)

I second the advice to contact Shelter.

You may be able to negotiate with the housing association, but at present if she has terminated the tenancy it will end when the notice period expires.

That could have been the case even if you had been joint tenants.

Whilst she is on that tenancy and not living in the property she could have problems with the housing association, which means it’s unlikely that she could cancel the termination even if she wanted to do so.

Whether or not the housing association can let you remain in the property will probably depend upon the pressure on housing in your area. It sounds like you have at least 3 bedrooms. Generally speaking councils and housing associations often only provide accommodation for one parent and the children ( the one who has the children the majority of the time). I don’t know how this would work if she is not in social housing.

I wish you good luck.

You need to speak to your housing officer about this
