Anyone have one & love one & want to give me a recommendation? Particularly interested in comfort/angles/back support etc. Under 1k…. hopefully way under! Thanks.

We have one but it cost more than £1K
I wouldn't recommend as they are a pain to clean round/under
Ours is too long for me but ideal for those over 6 ft tall

I think you would only get an acrylic one at that kind of price. They should be cast iron if you buy a good one.

I think cast iron is too heavy, and I’m led to believe the metal ones lose heat quickly.

re the cleaning we would have one that sits flush to the floor & far enough from the wall to mop round.

If anyone has any specific recommendations that would be fab. I’m struggling to see the difference between £500 freestanding acrylic baths & £1200 freestanding acrylic baths…so if anyone knows 😁

It’s the thickness of the acrylic/double layer, which is what gives it strength and retains the heat…ours is flush to floor but was about £1200 last year..amd quite possibly my favourite thing in the whole house renovation

Ok yay, that’s helpful! Can you recall make/model? I take it it’s comfortable given you love it! I keep worrying about the angles being steeper than a normal bath.

It was bought through Huws Gray builders merchants (they’re countrywide] …I’ve sent you a PM with photos

I have paid about £500 from eBay. Looks absolutely fabulous and is very comfortable.

Thanks both! Really helpful!

You need something where the end slopes backwards at an angle so you can lean back comfortably. Like this __/. It doesn’t have to be very sloped though.

Fully upright ends |__| are uncomfortable, as is anything where the ends start off curved but end up upright (so the bath is kind of U shaped).

Hi, I’m looking for the Clearwater Sontuoso freestanding bath. Has anyone seen it on display in the UK? Thanks

Could you share the model and any other details please @Fox111
I viewed a house which had this exact same bath in today and would love to be able to look up the dimensions etc 🙏
