Help with vanity (Victoria Plum administration)

Hi, I didn't realise VP had gone into administration. I have a vanity unit from them, bought in July and installed in August which is already having the veneer come off. I'm assuming from their administration papers that there's nothing I can do to get it fixed or anything by them... 😭

So any top tips for a fix for this area? It doesn't get wet, but the bathroom is small so gets steamy. Sometimes when the kids are washing faces/ cleaning teeth I'm sure it gets water on but briefly. The sink protrudes over it iyswim and so it would be hard to get standing water on it.

You can try cutting out some of the expanded material to flatten it out, but it risks making a mess if not careful - I did this with a kitchen worktop and then glued it back down. It won’t be perfect sadly. Otherwise paint with a white wood paint over the crack, we had similar and this prevented further damage. I painted all the edges to be sure.

Buying a new door is the alternative, made to measure if not a standard size. Shame about the administration as they’d have sent a replacement, which happened in our case.
