Any advice on getting small water stains out of a Calia table?

Am absolutely gutted! Brand new table. It supposedly arrived from the factory oiled, but we gave it another layer of oil before we started using it.

Just noticed we have three small stains that have bleached the wood. Frustrating as we use coasters.

Is there any hope at all?

This sounds crazy, but I think mayonnaise is supposed to help! Google it, honestly it's a thing!

If it’s wood, rub a walnut half over the affected area, and the oil from the nut goes into the wood and blends it in.

Ive literally done it this morning on an oak chest of drawers which was damaged by oil from a diffuser being spilt on it when we’d only had it 6 weeks! It’s made a phenomenal difference and the mark (which is quite big) is almost invisible!

Yes it is solid oak wood.

I don’t have any mayo but I do have walnuts so will give that a try, thank.

I’d be worried about the oil in the mayo - will definitely have a google though!

Ooh apparently mayo does work! I shall try both, thank you!

Well blow me down with a feather.

I didn’t have any walnuts as it happened but broke a pecan in half and rubbed it on the stains and I’d say they were 90% better. Thank you!

In future, get a clean, dry tea towel and an iron. Put the tea towel over damp marks and iron the spots. Keep moving the iron and checking, it will lift the damp out. If you have dings in the wood, dampen it first and this should help lift dints.
