1930s original features?

So we have had an offer accepted on a 1930s property. It's a project and has been empty for a few years but it's just about liveable but very dated. The plan is to extend up and out the back. It has all the original doors and handles as well as the original stained glass front door and one amazing 1930s fireplace. So for some inspiration would you show me any of your original 1930s features?

I'd love a 1930s house. They are so comfortable in terms of room size and garden space! The house is closed at the moment but if the Midlands is within easy reach, then why not visit Mr Straw's House when it reopens next year? It is an Edwardian house but the interior decor was left unchanged after Mr Straw died. Obviously there are plenty of images online.

I'd probably look for a book about 1930s decor. It's quite a flexible period as arts and crafts were still popular but you can see some examples of modernism, like 2 Willow Road. My fantasy would be a lovely Poirot style flat! It's also easy to use cheap china or glasses to create a 1930s vibe.

My house was built in 1931. When we bought it it had the original Crittall windows - hard to replace with decent double glazed as they have very narrow steel frames. We have done our best to match them, but they'll never be as efficient as modern style windows.

It still has most of the original radiators, plumbed with iron pipes - they are exactly like this - https://www.englishsalvage.co.uk/upload/images/shopprod/old-white-painted-wall-mounted-flat-radiators_17886_pic1_size1.jpg
We have most of them and their exposed pipework painted in crazy colours, though the secondhand ones we bought for our extension we had sand-blasted and powder coated. If you buy these old radiators, make sure they have the cast iron wall brackets with them - mostly the brackets get left behind when the radiators are salvaged. We had to have some made by a local guy who does metalwork.

I don't know if it was a common feature of 1930s houses, but the living room had wall lights but no ceiling ones.

We are doing a 30s house. It is an eclectic mix as pp said. Bits of art deco, bits of Georgina and Victorian inspiration, bits of more modern.

We have all the original sashes, some crittals, 6 fireplaces 😭

We restored all the sashes and they are fab. Sadly think the crittal will need to be remade. It’s very damaged.

All the original floors - boards upstairs, parquets downstairs, and black and white Victorian tiles in hall and clay quarry tiles for old kitchen (now utility).

We had picture rails but no coving or ceiling roses. House looks a bit bare now it’s been all painted neutral and reskimmed. Thinking about adding things, so interesting those pictures didn’t have roses.

We had to put in all new radiators. Absolutely none existed in the house so we went with column style. Wish we had known about pinkgowns radiators. They are just fab!

Mr straws house is Victorian in style and decoration not 1930s. It is a weird house and worth a visit though.

I was thinking more of the kitchen and all the stuff in the cupboards? But youu are right, it's more of a social history than interior decor place.

The only period features mine has left are the leaded lights and some graffiti left in the loft by the builders in 1934.

i need to replace the windows for double glazing but I can't find any way to save the leaded lights which is depressing. I might have to remove them carefully and store them in the loft so that they are at least still here.

We have original internal doors but only the upstairs doors have the original handles. We have 2 front doors and one of them is original but not the original glass and all our windows were replaced with upvc bb the previous owner. We do have 5 original fireplaces plus 1 repo and fortunately, the original staircase plus glazed porch.
