Had a quote for 40m2 approx. 4k not including screed. Jeeeesus..is it really worth it?

I think the ongoing problems we have with ours is probably the same as @moodlemum. My LL self built, and I'm pretty sure she would have got her general purpose builder to fit it, rather than a flooring specialist or plumber who knew what they were doing.

If whomever installed it did know what they were doing, they wouldn't have a) put the thermostats on external walls when we basically live in a wind tunnel and b) mixed up to thermostats on opposite sides of a 25ft space. They are set to monitor spaces on the other side of a vast room, and one of them heats two spaces on opposite sides, but not the space in the middle, in which it is actually located.

One of the other ones heats a snug, a hallway and HALF of the lounge.

I guess that's a lesson in making sure whomever does it is a specialist in their field.

I will lay money on our screed being too thick after reading a PPs post; our flagstones take an absolute age to react to heat changes.
