Which wooden worktop?

After two years of moving and building, our new kitchen (DIY Kitchens) should be arriving in a couple of weeks.

I need to pick my worktops to arrive ready for fitting. The main worktops are going to be compact laminate (Magma Rodolit) but I also have a split level island with a breakfast bar at the end.

I know wood is an absolute ball-ache for the main worktops but I'm thinking the maintenance shouldn't be too awful just for the island/breakfast bar (no hob or sink on the island).

Has anyone used House of Worktops? I'm looking at both Walnut and Iroko - does anyone have any experience of either of these woods? It says iroko darkens over time, would anyone be willing to share what it looks like now?

The main kitchen is a dark blue (Cobham Blue).

Thank you!

I prefer the paler one on the left.
if you're having very dark cupboards it's nice to have a bit of lightness too. I don't like the oiled wood (top right) as it's too red / for a blue kitchen. I think you need something with a cooler tone.

I agree with a dark kitchen cupboard, you need the lightest of those three tops.

I love the one with the avocado.
Go with the hardest wood as it will wear the best and see it in the real - both new and aged. Feel the bench tops, look at the sheen variations and choices. Make the effort to see them.
