BOXT - any experiences?

We bought our house last year, knowing it was a complete fixer upper in terms of needing moderisation. Basically everything (right down to decoration) was last done in about 1985. It's a large 5 bedroom house, 3 storeys. Insulation rubbish because it's in a conservation area so needs pricey windows that we need to save for (currently have those rubbish 80s secondary glazing panels bolted onto the windows).

We had a careful budget and timeline which has been blown out of the water by an unexpected issue with the roof which has to be fixed urgently and is going to cost five figures. FML. Anyway.

Our current boiler looks fairly new, but just doesn't work. I can't see the model but it's a Worcester-Bosch. Radiators on third floor never come on properly and water pressure in third floor bathroom really low (not sure if this is a boiler issue).

BOXT look almost too good to be true. We are all cold and having to run electric heaters (we also have electric throws, oodies, etc etc) so bills are distressing. The highest quote I'm getting from them is £50 a month and I suspect we'd save that on heating easily.

Does anyone have any experiences, thoughts etc?

Just to add, very likely we need a complete rewire in the near future (which is what the roof repair money was to be for....)... a bit worried about whether they will install a boiler if rewiring needed?

No experience, but a few things worth considering:

How long are you tied in for?
Do you own at the end of it?
Are the monthly payments amounting to more than the upfront cost of ownership?
Are you tied into an expensive service contract? If so, is this in addition?
What happens if it goes wrong? Are repairs included? (If not, could end up expensive for something you don't own)

How long are you planning to stay? A boiler rental may not be attractive to buyers.

A very poor experience with them. They sent a fitter who had never worked with the new type of large high flow boiler we had bought. He messed up the installation completely and broke the new boiler. We had no heating or hot water for days. Eventually had to threaten them to take it away and refund us. At this point they sent another new boiler and a bosch engineer and got it sorted eventually. I don't recommend them
