Luxair hood

I am searching for high extraction rate ceiling hood and come across this brand. It has really expressive specs which surpass most of the brands, even the top end ones. 1200m/M3 at just over 60db sounds incredible yet to be expensive. Anyone has any first hand experience with this brand? Think they are actually LG? Do they really perform as they claimed? LG is usually very disappointing.

They’re nothing to do with LG. Luxair extractors just make extraction. We used to sell them and would rate them highly.

Haha. I messed up with the airline company which has the same name 😂

I have a Luxair extractor fan. It’s still going strong after 10+ years of use. Mine has a metal filter that I put through the dishwasher every few months.
It’s not particularly quiet but newer models may be better. It is very effective though.

Stay well clear, they are very noisy and once bought they will refuse to do anything about it and come up with lots of excuses that it is installed incorrectly etc. I’ve had to by a replacement because the noise levels are so high.

We have one. Had it 3 years now and not had any problems with it.

I have a luxair and have done for 5 years now, in my experience their advertised spec is as stated and I am very impressed with mine.
They are very knowledgeable when you phone them and they responded to all my emails the same day when I needed help regarding my installation, impressive in itself in this day and age.

We have one - been in place for five years, effective but not that quiet really at the highest ventilation speed. Generally we use the highest speed and noisy setting for a few minutes to ventilate quickly at the start and then drop the speed to a slower but quieter setting
