I need to order some integrated appliances and am not able to measure up for a week.
Does anyone know if built under integrated appliances are a standard size please?
Tia.

Yes, they should all be a standard size. Essentially 600mm x 600mm (a slimline dishwasher is 450mm wide)

No! I have just had to change one of my machines and couldn’t get the one I wanted as it was too big for the space.. had to go for a different one. The machines were all different sizes and I ended up with a choice of two as the others wouldn’t fit

Oh, that changes things.

They should all be designed to fit into a 600 wide kitchen cabinet. Usually they are about 570 wide and similar deep. Occasionally you may get an issue with how far forward they stick out especially if you have pipework/plug sockets taking up space at the back.

Catlady’s experience is unusual, perhaps she has non standard cabinet sizes?

IME of replacing cooker, dishwasher and fridge they generally are approximately the same size.

All machines have slightly different dangly bits on them or requirements though, just as all spaces have slightly different restrictions, so it is always a bit of a gamble.

The way I checked was to download the online manuals for both machines and then compared them. All you need is the model number and you will be able to find it on the web somewhere.

I also "cheated" on the cooker by getting the model and manufacturer that was the same, just 20 years down the line. It doesn't look the same now, but when you see the manuals you can see its essentially the same cooker, just with a different style of controls on the front.

I think you probably have less choice because the door has to fit. When we replaced our integrated dishwasher, there were too that would fit. One was nearly £1000 and one was less than half.

When we have replaced integrated appliances the size has proved restrictive of choice. Likewise if there are panels/doors which need to fit.

I went to curry’s with my measurements. There was up to a difference of five cms between them. This was literally last week.

Fridge/ freezers are definitely not standard, I’ve just had a new kitchen fitted and when buying the fridge/freezer, I realised that there appear to be two standard sizes - most fit in a 600 mm unit but a few are wider than that, around 650 mm. I was not checking the height, just width.

The biggest problem I had with the fridge freezer was trying to match up the ratio with my old one.

I wanted 60:40 but it was very hard to tell the difference between that and the 70:30 by measurement because all the measurements are approximate.

Oh and plus taking into account the height of the pedestal for ventilation.

I think with a lot of places you can return the appliance if it does not fit, but need to pay the delivery charge.

Thank you for all the responses.
@GasPanic good idea to download the manual and compare.
Its definitely not as straightforward as I hoped.
