Laminate in the kitchen?

Having a bit of a flooring dilemma if anyone can advise please? I’d like to floor the entire downstairs in the same flooring but it’s proving difficult to find one that will work for all rooms. I will be fitting the flooring myself which is another consideration.

Glue down LVT - would have been my preference but I’ve read it can only really be installed by a pro which rules it out budget wise.

Tiles - hard wearing but possibly too cold for the living room (don’t have UFH)

Laminate - I’ve fitted lots of this already so i know it would work for the other rooms but worry about it’s durability in the kitchen. Previous owners put laminate in the kitchen and it’s looking a little shabby although not sure how long it’s been down or the quality.

Click LVT - seems to combine the best bits of LVT and laminate but I’ve read lots of people having problems with it moving and coming apart, particularly in large rooms.

Are there any other options that I’m missing or does anyone have experience of these flooring types and can recommend please?

Are the rooms separate or are you open plan? We have laminate in dining room and lounge (plus rugs for warmth etc) but granite tiles in the kitchen - kitchen is a separateroom to the other 2. Friend has laminate in her kitchen and it doesn't like being wet. She regrets it.

Thanks @SleepingisanArt. The living room/dining room are open plan although I will be installing bifolds between them as it’s impossible to keep the living room warm at the moment. The kitchen is a separate room with its own door. Perhaps I shouldn’t worry too much about it all being the same flooring, particularly as I’ll need to floor the living room/dining room very soon and I’ve only just started looking at new kitchens. It would be ideal to have a cohesive look on the ground floor though.

I have laminate in my kitchen and it's not been great.
It has chipped where I have dropped heavy items, and is warped where I had a leak from my washing machine.
It was quite a cheap laminate though so not sure if that makes a difference as the laminate I have in my lounge was more expensive and still looks lovely.
I'm planning on replacing my kitchen floor with tiles.

What about that posh vinyl - sorry can't recall what it's called!

We've got click LVT and it's great. Doesn't move no chips

With all my researches done prior to choosing kitchen flooring, taking in account my interior design's background, I went for waterproof laminate from B&Q. It is hardwearing and suitable for commercial use so happy to walk on high heels around entire ground floor now, as I used same laminate throughout! Got a good deal of 3 for 4 flooring at the time plus a good cashback. Another option was LVT but after examining samples I saw how bendy it can be and most reviews were about customer's disappointment, so I decided to avoid it..

I have a studio (kitchen + living room). I didn't want to separate the flooring, but I was hesitating about using laminate in the kitchen area. So, I have pretty similar color laminate in the living room area and tiles in the kitchen area. I still have to decide on whether to implement square edge skirting throughout to complete the look seamlessly.
