How easy is it to remove airing cupboard - floor plan

Due to mobility problems we are planning to replace the bath with a walk-in shower. I thought it would be a good opportunity to try and improve the layout.

How easy would it be to take out the airing cupboard? (marked in red). There are no pipes or anything in it. On the bathroom side the wall has a recess with shelves and a shaver socket so there's electrics in there.

We don't mind losing (or moving) the socket.

Would it be worth it? I'd be able to perhaps move the sink and/or toilet to make it less cramped.

It’s always about where the waste is, and what type of wall it is - this has been my experience when reconfiguring bathrooms (I’ve done it a few times!) so that’ll help people come up with answers.

Yes that would be easy enough to move and square off bathroom.

Keep the toilet where it is and move sink to where cupboard was, as it’s easy to run water pipes over but moving toilet harder. Will free up middle for getting in and out large shower if you need a chair at some point

That's what I was thinking, sink is a tiny cloakroom one so needs replacing anyway.

The cupboard walls are just plasterboard. The bathroom was added into a wide corridor so there's no supporting walls down that whole section.

This is what I'd like for the shower area
