Painting the inset where a wood burner stands - do you need to use special paint?

For the three internal walls around the stove. I can't remember what we used when we first painted them but they need redoing. Can I use any emulsion?

You need a high heat paint / firebox paint.

Depends how close the stove is. Ive got quarry tiles behind stove ans emulsion on the sides

Our wood burner is surrounded by big standard emulsion. If it's properly installed the walls shouldn't get too hot.

Ours is standard emulsion. But there is quite a big air gap.

Mine has regular emulsion around the 3 sides as the stove has been fitted to the regulations. In the 8 odd years I have had no issues.

Thanks all. Ours was all fitted properly so should be fine.
