Green kitchen?

Renovating a large Victorian terrace. Kitchen/diner is in basement and will open out onto garden with either sliders or crittal doors. What do you think of a green kitchen? I like navy but worried it will look too dark.

I love in a victkrian house. We put a dark wood kitchen in, with green walls. That way i can change colour if I want.

I wanted something traditional feeling, with a more modern feeling. It is dark, but we have a rock face at the rear of our house, so it was never light, so I went with that.

I personally love a dark green kitchen - we've just done ours in F&B Studio Green but we've kept everything else light so that it doesn't make the kitchen feel too heavy or dark. It also depends on how much natural light you can get in your basement

Your kitchen is judging you! 😂

Just put a green kitchen into our Edwardian house. Country Living Whitstable Sea Green. With yellow walls. Which won't be to everyone's taste but we love it. I have no idea if it's fashionable or not or passe already.

Depends how long you plan on staying in the property? Kitchens are a very personal taste, particularly strong colour choices.

I think it depends on how long you plan on staying in your home.

If it's your forever home then go for it, if it's not I wouldn't. I'll be honest I'd be put off by a green kitchen and wouldn't be able to see past it because of the cost to rip it out and put a new one in.

I think whenever you go with the latest fashion it's always risky but I'm boring and would go neutral and add accessories if I wanted a splash of colour.

OP, screenshot as many green kitchens as you can, like 100 of them when looking through house and garden or pinterest of whatever, and not just the ones you love, ones you really don't like either. And as you look through them isolate the element of the rest of the space that appeal to you and make sure you can achieve those elements also. It's not just the green cabinet colour that you need to look for, is the wall colour complimentary, is the flooring complimentary, are there enough matt & polished surfaces in the space to work harmoniously, what is happening in the rest of the room, what is the lighting doing, can you also mimick that lighting. In your post the kitchen had a lot of light in it, does your kitchen receive a lot of natural light? If not, will you like it when it's grey light, what else can you do to warm the space up?
