Section 21 help.

Can someone advise possibly what's going to happen please?
I was handed a section 21, 4 weeks ago after living here for 13 years. I've contacted the council and I have a case worker with the homeless team. They are being really supportive but it is getting closer to that 8 weeks and I'm beginning to worry.
I have looked for private rented and they won't accept a single person earning less than £35k. I earn £30k. I did find a property, but they decided to rent to students instead. I have 2 children, aged 14 and 10. 14 year old has ASD/ADHD. We have supporting documents from the relevant people to help with the homeless team. I can't move too far from the school as my oldest can't walk to school (she isn't great with roads) and she has the routine of the school bus, which is a struggle in itself for her. My employer is being great and allows me days off to view properties etc. School are also supporting as big changes are not great for her either. Otherwise, I'd move anywhere they put me! So there is a genuine reason for not moving too far away.
I am going out of my mind at the moment. I know we can stay here till its taken to court past the section 21 date (I hope to avoid). I know what my rights are thankfully. But I just do not know what happens now. Does anyone know roughly what can happen if we do not find a home? I am trying everything to find one. Council mentioned possibly a hotel, but what do I do with our belongings? It's just so so stressful.
I'm in the NW if that helps. I know it's different area to area.

They will put you in emergency accommodation first which could be a flat but also could be a room with cooking facilities or could be a hotel. They will move you to a proper dwelling as soon as possible if they have to put you in a hotel. When they have accepted a duty to house you they will put you in the first available long term temporary property they have available. They may encourage/support you to keep looking at private rentals in the meantime. You'll need to pay for storage for your belongings.

Sorry, I didn't know anyone had replied!

Sounds terrible. I am looking everyday, so hopefully something comes along and I get it.
