Looking at this sink, but would need to cut the worktop end as I need to fill a 1,380 space and it is a 1505 length.

Going to email them and ask if it can be cut, but wondered if anyone has this sink and could comment on it, whether it looks as if it could be cut, and any real life pictures 😊.

Hi, we have this unit. I think you could cut it, but I think the problem might be with how you would finish the cut end. The intact unit has the end rounded off - have attempted to capture it in a photo.

Obviously if you were planning on installing it in a recess then this wouldn't matter.

@Sleeptillnoon thanks so much for your reply & especially the pictures! I obviously want to see the unit "in the flesh" but haven't found anywhere nearby.

Do you know if the worktop bit is solid or more moulded like a kitchen sink?

The cut end would be butted up against the soil stack, which is wider than the worktop depth.
I'd also be using different units, and would have a short 70mm length of filler between the base unit and the end of the run, so no lack of overhand issues etc.

I'd had a response from the manufacturer which said it couldn't be cut, but the bathroom supplier (who make the units) just said it wouldn't be a finished edge but as it's up against a wall it wouldn't matter.

Pic is the 3D rendered image, the soil stack will be built out to be wider than the worktops so it won't overhang like in the image.

Now have to decide whether to go with the bespoke pink units, or just the standard 3 x 300 cupboard run and use one of the doors for filler to reduce the size to the space.

Oh, and are you happy with it?

Love your tiles as well!

We love it, it's really solid and I like the fact that it's all one piece with no joins to get manky.

I've just had a look at the underside and it is formed, rather than solid iyswim. So if you were to cut it you would poss lose some of the rigidity of the formed end. Sorry not easy to describe but hopefully you know what I mean!

The underneath shot is EXACTLY what I wanted to find out, thank you so much for taking the time to take those pictures & share.

I was originally looking at the semi-recessed type basins and the ones I've seen are much more expensive. Then I saw this one and preferred the style even though I didn't originally want square.

I did wonder if the price difference was due to it being formed rather than solid though.

I don't think it will matter as long as it is supported properly, but probably explains why the manufacturer said is can't be cut whereas the more expensive one say in their bumf that they are cutable.

No worries! Hope you get on ok with it and it works x

Just another question - is the bottom of the sink totally flat, or does it slope slightly towards the plug hole so it drains properly?

It's got a slight slope to it, I've just filled the sink and emptied it to see, and it drains fine 👍

Thanks Sleeptillnoon 😊
I was just reading another thread about square & rounded sinks and drainage etc.
The fitter is coming round next week to go through my plans and quote.

We have another square sink in our house, and it's too big and stuff builds up in the corners. So I wouldn't normally recommend one but the Hudson Reed one is fine.
