1930s door

(Picture from internet search, sorry if it's yours!)

I really want to ask friends and family for contributions towards a new front door for Xmas as mine is a 1960s replacement door, single pane glass for half of it and thin, split wood for the other half. As I removed the old and dirty curtain from behind the door it is going to be freezing in the winter.

I want a composite/ super warm front door but I would like it to look like the original 1930s doors which some neighbours still have. (See pic).

I'd also like to have the thin section near the door re-glazed as it's also single pane 60s glass and might as well not be there. Do I need to get the door company to do it or just get a window from elsewhere?

I can't find any like this.

Any company recommendations?

Amazing thanks, will look, but think they are wood and not composite?

Are composite doors worth it..?! Because I can find lots of examples of the door I want in wood instead..!

Have to say, I’d choose wood over composite any day, but that’s from an aesthetic point of view.

The one my parents have is in keeping with their house (Victorian) and looks no different to a wooden door externally- but I just can't seem to find any 1930s style...

@Cheeesus are modern wood doors pretty good insulation-wise? I'm going off the fact that standing next to my current door is like standing outside 😂

I've got a Solidor Sterling in my 30s house - bit like this but with a coloured lead light pattern in it which the fitter made. Not cheap but very happy with it.
