Can i tile a fibreglass roof?

We have many bathroom tiles left from renovation. A ridiculous amount even though i already rounded down from the number given by the bathroom fitter. Am thinking if i can use them on the roof terrace. The terrace has just been redone with grp roofing a few months ago by the previous owner. But its not been done well with some standing water (not a lot) because of the lack of gradient.

I have asked a few roofers. Two suggested that i pave it with rubber tiles/decking. Will bathroom tiles also work? Chief concern is if the waterproof feature of fibreglass will be intact.

Anyone any experience?

Thank you

Yes fiberglass is pretty tough, but I don't think tiling it makes sense, for a start it will be really slippery and the thermal movement would surely crack the tiles up. The adhesive is unlikely to stick the tiles down sufficiently unless something abrasive was added to the top coat of the GRP.

what about rubber/plastic/composite tiles? will they be more appropriate? there are interlocking options that look like a simple diy. ideally i would want to skip any subframe as it has to be nailed into the grp roof, which i want to avoid. but am worried about draining without some height above ground.

I mean you can put what you like on, as long as you don't make hols in the waterproof layer. But it might look gash.
Polyester resin is very tough and it isn't damaged by sitting underwater.
The only thing you would need to watch is the weight really, in case it causes excessive deflection of the joists.
